A photoshoot with Valerie Oberreiter Photography
In the end of July we were given an amazing opportunity to work with a professional photographer from Austria. Valerie Oberreiter was on holiday in the Algarve and contacted us through Instagram (power of social media should never be underestimated!) and made us an offer we could not decline.
One thing lead to another, and two days later Valerie was on horse back riding to the top of Monte Rosa with us with all her gear in tow. I must say I have never been more pleased to have such calm and well behaved horses, her professional photography equipment is very precious…!
We had a great time shooting horses in the sunset, Valerie picked great spots for some beautiful photos and gave really great instructions and was very pleasant to work with. It is always a pleasure to work with a professional!
Once the shoot was done, I was absolutely itching to see the images. I had a sneaky peek on her camera screen and had big expetations. A few days later, we had access to the pre selection gallery and wow, we were mesmerized!
The photos were incredible! She captured just what we wanted to capture, that warm connection between us and our horses, and the views up on the hill just added to the magic. We had a really tough job to narrow down to our favourites, but I think we made some great choices. All of the photos were magical in their own way, here are some of our favourites for you to see.
