Why do we only offer children’s rides?
We believe that to change culture, you have to start from the younger generation. Children usually love riding and will often ask parents for horse riding experiences at a local riding center or at a pony club.
Our aim is to teach kids ‘the right way’ from the start, to teach them to respect the animal and to listen to it. Teach them that the horse has feelings, it’s sensitive and that hitting or kicking is never the right answer.
We want to teach them that the horse who bites or kicks when saddled is probably in huge pain. We want to teach them that horses aggression is always a sign of something and we want to teach them to listen.
We want to teach them that everything the horse does has a reason and that it is our job to figure out what it is.
We want to teach them that riding should be fun for both the horse and the rider.
We want to teach them that the horse should come first – always.
That’s why we offer children’s rides.
