Now as the season draws to close its time to get studying! Horses are a subject you can never know too much about and I am always keen to learn more and educate myself.

I am absolutely delighted to be able to take part in a Monty Roberts Introductory course, the first step of months long study that will hopefully finish with me qualifying as a Monty Roberts Horsemanship Instructor.

I have chosen to bring Lola and Hakita with me on this course, these are the two horses that will most benefit from the groundwork we will be doing during the course.

The course will take place in Quinta da Vida Boa in Burgau, Lagos. It is only about an hours journey from us, so the travel should  be nice and easy for the horses.

Monty Roberts is a great horseman, his methods are all violence free and based on, Equus,  the language of the horse. It is really fascinating and I cannot wait to be learning lots more about it!

Pia Saari is the founder and owner of Country Quest Portugal. Throughout her life she has gathered extensive experience with horses in many different ways.
